Farmhouse White Sandwich Loaf (ea)
Soft, fluffy, and brushed with real butter the second it leaves the oven. Tender crust, pillowy inside, and that warm bakery smell that takes over the whole kitchen. Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
A big, bakery-size cookie with crisp golden edges and a soft, chewy middle. We brown the butter first for a deep, nutty, almost caramel flavour, then load every cookie with melty dark and semisweet chocolate that pools into gooey puddles. A whisper of espresso makes the chocolate taste even richer (you won't taste coffee, just more chocolate). An extra egg yolk keeps the center soft and chewy, the way a great cookie should be. Baked by hand in small batches right here in Tay Creek. Best warm, when the chocolate is still molten. Try not to eat two.
Scottish Shortbread Cookies
You'll eat two before the kettle boils. It's butter, mostly. That's not a shortcut, that's the recipe. Break the corner off one and it won't snap. Molasses Brown Bread
Saturday night bread. (beans not included) We can't take credit for this one. Molasses brown bread has been coming out of Maritime ovens a lot longer than we've had one. Ours is oats and Crosby's Fancy Molasses. Dark, a little sweet, with a crumb soft enough to tear. It's a big loaf, over 900 grams. Made by hand right here in Tay Creek, in small batches, baked fresh just for you. The oats soak first, which is the slow part, and it's what makes the crumb come out this soft. No preservatives. No shortcuts. It toasts like nothing else. Butter it the second it pops and that's the whole answer. Order ahead and we'll have yours fresh and ready.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies
Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, baked to order in our home kitchen in Tay Creek. Thick, chocolaty and soft right through the middle, with enough pumpkin and spice to taste like the season without shouting about it. Baked in small batches, by hand, the way we do everything here. Grab a pair for the drive home, six for the lunchboxes, or the whole patch for the table. Best with a coffee and a bit of a chill in the air.
Pecan Pie Cookies
Pecan pie you can eat with one hand. It starts as a soft cinnamon sugar cookie, then we spoon a big blob of gooey pecan pie filling right into the middle. Sticky, buttery, with a little crunch from the pecans. It tastes just like the pie, which was the whole idea. Baked by hand in small batches right here in Tay Creek, the morning of your pickup. Order a day ahead and we'll have yours ready. Napkins are on you. Contains wheat, dairy, egg and pecans (tree nuts).
